There are 3 different committees in CAPS in Action:

Events Committee: Oversees and plans CIA’s events throughout the year including, but not limited to, tabling events, social events, and partnership events with CAPS staff.

Blue Logs

BLUE Logs is a platform where students can share their stories of mental health struggles and help let others know they are not alone to help decrease stigma around mental health. Be on the lookout for future articles!

If you are interested in submitting a piece to BLUE Logs, please refer to the criteria below and the revision process before submitting.

Making An Appointment

Your mental health is vitally important. We are here to support you in taking steps towards finding help for your concerns. We have the following options for you to choose from to see a counselor.

For Online and Hybrid Program Students

While there can be many benefits to being an Online and/or Hybrid Program student, there can also be unique challenges including adjustment, time management, motivation, lonliness, and many more.  Students who are enrolled but are not able to access CAPS services on campus can still benefit from CAPS providing the following supports:

OCD and COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic has no doubt been stressful and unnerving for many of us. However, it is important to note that people with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) may be feeling particularly triggered, anxious, or hurting at this time.

Online Anxiety Toolbox

This three session video workshop will focus on understanding anxiety, learning strategies to manage anxiety, and developing a plan to apply the strategies on a daily basis wherever you are during the Pandemic.

Mental Health Care Package: Coping with COVID 19

Just like you, the University of Michigan Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) is venturing unto a new path, a new reality associated with COVID-19.  We wanted to reach out (virtually, of course! #PhysicalDistancing) and share ways in which to help take care of yourselves, no matter if you are in Ann Arbor or across the globe.

While we are at home following physical distancing guidelines, remember there's always opportunities to "do something." Check out the video on this page to see some of CAPS staff highlight this recent effort during the pandemic. 

CAPS Stressbusters App

The app, produced by the national Stressbusters wellness program, now makes it possible for students and others in the UM community to view, share, store and use campus event announcements, news alerts, student and department videos, one-touch dial emergency buttons, health tips, surveys and other features, directly on their iOS and Android mobile devices.
