CIA has done a lot! To get an idea of the kinds of projects and events we take on, here are some examples:

Past Projects:

  • Video series - “Real Stories of Leaders at their Best” - interviews with students and faculty about their experiences with mental health 

  • Letter to the Michigan Daily explaining how faculty can support student mental health

  • CAPS 101: Presentations to current school organizations about mental health

  • “CAPS Unlocked” inspired video for students, clearing up misconceptions about CAPS services and making info on CAPS resources accessible

  • Social Media Takeover - CAPS In Action took over the CAPS Instagram with a series of posts about real mental health experiences of UMich students

Past Events:

  • Workshops in partnership with CAPS’ staff - past topics have included compassion fatigue, perfectionism, performance anxiety, and adjustment

  • Therapy Dog Events - in North Quad and the IM building

  • Goodie Bag Giveaways during final and Halloween time to spread mental health awareness and positivity
