Qualifications

CAPS is a fast-paced and busy agency! We strongly prefer students who are looking for their second clinical placement or are non-traditional students with previous work experience in the field.

Application Process

In you are interested in applying for our Practicum internship you will need to provide:

  • A statement of interest
  • A current resume
  • Two references (from professionals who can speak to your educational and clinical experience.)
  • An on-site interview, usually no more than 1- 1½ hours, is required.
  • Deadline for application: Friday February 9th, 2018
  • Interviews: Between February 26th and March 2nd

Please note that this is a 500 hour practicum requiring the trainee to be on site 16 hours per week. One evening (until 7) is required. In the Fall semester, trainees must plan to be here on Thursdays and Fridays; in Winter, the two days shift to Mondays and Tuesdays. Any additional times must be negotiated with the Program Coordinator and may be limited to the evenings only.
