Approach to Therapy:
As a psychologist committed to fostering healing and empowerment, I specialize in providing culturally sensitive counseling services. With a deep understanding of the unique challenges and experiences faced by individuals from diverse backgrounds, I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive space where clients can explore their emotions, confront societal pressures, develop coping strategies that promote self-compassion and emotional well-being, and navigate personal growth with confidence and resilience. My integrative framework incorporates multicultural approaches, CBT, DBT, ACT, collaboration, and an integrative care. My goal is to help clients cultivate resilience, embrace their authenticity, and embark on a journey towards who they want to become.
Approach to Wellness:
I make ongoing efforts to continuously self-reflect and adjust my needs/demands to improve my “work-life balance” which may change throughout the year. I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family, going for walks, reading, cooking, and competing in board games/trivia. I make sure I take time to rest, reflect, laugh, and restore.
Supervisory Style:
As a supervisor, my approach integrates developmental and strength-based approaches, strong support and advocacy, all through a multicultural lens. I prioritize understanding the unique strengths and goals of my supervisees, utilizing their strengths to foster growth and achievement. Clear expectations and open communication are crucial, ensuring alignment with goals and roles. Yet, at the heart of my supervision style is the cultivation of strong relationships, built on trust and collaboration, to effectively nurture the professional development of supervisees.
