Approach to Therapy:
My approach to treatment is collaborative, working with the client to understand their areas of strength and where they are looking to grow. I center identity and culture in my practice, highlighting the importance of environment and context that impact everyday life. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and a Feminist, Multicultural Lens in treatment.
Approach to Wellness:
My approach to wellness is centered in reflecting on behaviors that clients are engaging in and questioning what works and what does not. I encourage clients to explore and employ new methods and techniques for their wellness and maintain the behaviors that have previously brought them joy and comfort. In terms of physical wellness, I aim to promote what feels right for each client independent from societal norms or pressures. This client centered approach allows treatment to reflect a client’s personal goals with respect to their cultural background and acknowledgement of unhealthy expectations.
