Approach to Therapy:
I believe each person has the right to exist safely within their world and every relationship they hold in it. I prioritize cultivating an environment of openness, understanding, and overall “humanness” within therapy. Rather than implying I consistently know “what’s best” for my clients, I advocate for a collaborative relationship in which we understand that no treatment is ever “one size fits all.” My methods often utilize a relational-cultural, client-centered approach with an aim of growing through and toward developing mutually empathetic, empowering, genuine, and safe relationships, including one’s relationship with themselves.
Approach to Wellness:
Finding what “self-care” means to you is highly important, as it’s unique to each person. For me, I enjoy spending time with my two rescue dogs, listening to music, trying new restaurants, and spending the occasional weekend being judged by Netflix for “still watching” a show hours on end! I also love attending the University of Michigan football games and am a season ticket holder. Go Blue! .
