Approach to therapy:
My goal is to foster a safe and trusting therapeutic space where students feel heard, understood, and supported. My therapeutic approach involves developing a collaborative relationship to explore areas of concern, learn skills, and make connections between past and present experiences to empower clients towards enhanced insight, awareness, compassion, resiliency, and overall well-being. My therapeutic style is integrative, with an emphasis upon multicultural, relational-cultural, interpersonal, family systems, feminist, and psychodynamic approaches.
Approach to wellness:
My self-care includes spending time with loved ones and connecting with new people, being active and outdoors, cooking and trying new restaurants, and journaling/blogging. I approach wellness by continuously striving to maintain a positive work-life balance and practicing self-care (scheduling "me-time") daily.
