Approach to Therapy:
My approach to therapy begins with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship between the student and myself. I believe in creating a collaborative, non-judgemental, and supportive space for all students with whom I work. I use a strengths-based empowerment approach to therapy incorporating components of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness. I also advocate for a queer and multicultural perspective, which has informed my work and understanding of therapy throughout my educational training.
Approach to Wellness:
My approach to wellness begins with focusing on my needs and wants in order to practice self-care and compassion, to allow myself to relax and heal. I enjoy playing video games, spending time with my dogs, tubing down the Huron, listening to music, and incorporating mindfulness in nature.
