Approach to Therapy:
My therapeutic style incorporates an integrative approach of Interpersonal Process and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, encompassed within a multicultural framework. My goal is to establish a collaborative working relationship, characterized by trust, to assist clients in developing new perspectives and strategies that promote effective ways of being the world.
Approach to Wellness:
Work-life balance is something I value and make effort to put into practice. I do this by engaging in self-care activities. Particularly, I enjoy spending time with family/friends, watching TV and/or movies, cooking, reading, traveling, and shopping.
Supervisory Style:
My supervisory style embodies a relational, developmental, strengths-based approach. I strongly value and utilize empathy, genuineness, transparency, and collaboration to establish a trusting relationship that fosters growth, confidence, and independence. Seeing supervisees in a holistic manner with increased awareness of multiple social identities, varied backgrounds and experiences, is vital and helps to inform our relationship and the work with clients. I strive to provide a safe environment that includes relatability, openness, humor, and collegiality.
