Approach to therapy:
I find it vital to understand individual's identities and experiences in the context of therapy, as well as how they view themselves in relation to others in their lives. I approach therapy from a largely psychodynamic and interpersonal framework while incorporating cognitive and behavioral techniques. I also advocate for multicultural and queer perspectives, both of which have greatly influenced my understanding and practice of therapy. Furthermore, I am bilingual and able to provide therapy in Spanish.
Approach to wellness:
For me, wellness means giving myself permission to disregard the “I should...” statements that often make us feel worn out and overwhelmed. Instead, I try to practice self-compassion and humor whenever I have the chance, both in and outside of the workplace. I also enjoy balancing my time with close friends and family, exploring new cities, and staying physically active.
