Why Am I a Peer Counselor: Mental health awareness is something that I am truly passionate about and want to incorporate into my career as a physician. Peer counseling is a pathway to allowing me to help give back to mental health initiatives on campus and to be a resource to the student body within the context of mental well-being. Being able to provide a platform for those seeking to voice their emotions and thoughts during these challenging times also drew me to this role.
