We want to acknowledge the ongoing humanitarian crisis impacting the Syrian community, both domestically and internationally. As we all bear witness to this tragedy, we understand the scope of the crisis is affecting our global communities, and us as individuals.
CAPS encourages you to be aware of the various emotions triggered by this ongoing crisis. During these times, it is most important for us to unite as a community by reaching out for support as well as extending support to others. At CAPS we realize that everyone engages in self-care in different ways. Therefore, we encourage you to acknowledge and ask respectful questions about the experiences of others, giving them room to talk about it or not. Listen, don’t assume, be patient with one another, knowing that while our experiences as a campus community may be different, they are all significant.
If support is needed from CAPS, please let us know by scheduling an appointment or utilizing our counselor-on-duty service.
