The goal of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week (#NEDAwareness Week) is to put the spotlight on the seriousness of eating disorders and to improve public understanding of their causes, triggers and treatments. By increasing awareness and access to resources, we can encourage early detection and intervention, which can improve the likelihood of full recovery for millions.

The following events are organized and supported by CAPS, Body Peace Corps, Active Minds, and CAPS In Action:

      Hunger, Hope, and Healing: Awareness and Prevention of Eating Disorders in Young Adults
  • Tuesday February 14th:  Diag Day

    • 10am-2pm:  Love Your Body: Kick Off NEDAW Week

  • Tuesday February 14th: CAPS Mindful Eating Ice Cream Social

    • Get your Sprinkle on
      Ice Cream Social with tabling
      11am-1pm, Michigan Union 1st floor outside of Starbucks

  • Wednesday Feburary 15th:  The Student Body Movie Screening

    • 8-10pm: Trotter Multicultural Lounge

  • Thursday February 16th:  A Discussion: Riots Not Diets

  • Friday February 17th:  Body Positive Yoga with Body Peace Corp

  • Thursday February 23rd:  CAPS Feel Good Fitness: Celebrate Your Body Through Movement

    • 6:30-7:30pm: CCRB Fitness 2 Room 2275
      Join us for a free class of empowering movement, strength, and energy in support of National Eating Disorders Awareness Week. This class will offer a dynamic combination of Cardio Kickboxing, Strength, and Yoga. Open to all U-M students, faculty, staff and Rec Sports members.
