U-M Counseling and Psychological Services

CAPS is proud to support our Greek Community for their ongoing efforts around mental health.

Recent efforts were highlighted in a recent announcment from Shannon Cohen, Interim Associate Director of Greek Life and Panhellenic Advisor.

The four councils that make up the Greek Community at the University of Michigan have decided that it's #timetotalk about mental health. Over the last several months the councils collaborated on the planning of two mental health speak outs and a video campaign aimed at reducing the stigma around mental health. The first speak out took place in December and was attended by more than 150 people. Our video campaign began last week week and culminated in a second speak out that took place last night.

You can read more about the campaign here as well as view the four unique videos that represent different mental health concerns experienced by our students (direct links to the videos can be found below). We are hoping that these efforts are the start of important conversations and that they inspire more action to reduce the stigma around mental illness. We are spreading awareness with social media and are using the hashtag #timetotalk.
