College can be a very exciting time for students. It can provide many opportunities for students to pursue their academic and personal goals. However, it may also involve various stressors for many college students.

CAPS now has one full-time counselor and one full time adjunct counselor conveniently available for currenlty enrolled students within the College of Engineering. The CAPS counselors will be available to provide supportive mental health services for students via tele-counseling during the COVID-19 pandemic. The CAPS counselors will strive to assist students in understanding, and solving their problems.

Typical reasons for seeking counseling may include:

  • depression
  • anxiety
  • academic/performance concerns
  • adjustment difficulties
  • self-esteem
  • family issues
  • relationship concerns

If your concerns cannot be adequately addressed in our brief therapy model, your CAPS counselor will assist you in finding an appropriate referral source. All services are free and confidential.

Please see our FAQ for more information about our services and scheduling an appointment.
